Plumbing Designers - Washington, DC region

Qualified candidate will possess experience in AutoCAD and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. This position applies relevant engineering principles in planning and designing plumbing systems in new and renovated buildings. Conducts field surveys, performs analysis, investigates appropriate equipment, and designs cost-effective solutions for each project.

Must be able to perform the following duties:
+ Perform design duties from inception through construction
+ Retrieve information from observing existing field conditions
+ Evaluate the applicability of jurisdictional codes to each project
+ Utilize established design methods and apply knowledge of engineering principles

Senior Mechanical Engineer - Washington, DC region.

This position is for the seasoned individual who is looking for a growth opportunity capable of assuming senior level responsibilities.

Qualified candidates will have 8-10 years experience in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for base buildings and tenant redesigns of commercial, residential and institutional projects. This position requires the ability to operate independently with little supervision, in the design and specification of projects of substantial complexity. Some specific responsibilities for this position include project planning, design, cross-discipline coordination, specification writing, supervision of support staff, and ability to deal with outside clients.

Strong analytical abilities, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Bachelor’s degree required; project management experience, EIT or PE desired.

Mechanical and Plumbing Project Engineers - Washington, DC region

Qualified candidate will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.  This position applies relevant engineering principles in planning and designing mechanical (HVAC and/or plumbing) systems in new and renovated buildings. Project Engineer conducts field surveys, performs analysis, investigates appropriate equipment, and designs cost-effective solutions for each project.

Must be able to perform the following duties:
+ Coordinate work of architects, engineers, and CAD technicians
+ Schedule work and perform all design duties from inception through construction
+ Retrieve information from observing existing field conditions
+ Evaluate the applicability of jurisdictional codes to each project
+ Utilize established design methods and apply knowledge of engineering principles
 

Plumbing Department Manager - Washington, DC region.

Qualified candidate will be results-oriented, take-charge professional with 10+ years experience in plumbing/fire protection design of commercial, residential, institutional and federal projects. Successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills to co-ordinate with a multi-discipline design team and facilitate the development of design and quality standards of leading-edge systems applications. This candidate will demonstrate those strengths in business acumen to represent this discipline at the Principal level.

Position Responsibilities
+ Directs the total engineering discipline design including: design management, engineering design calculation, analysis and documentation for large and complex projects.
+ Directs diverse production teams, and develops and executes discipline work plans.
+ Manages key relationships and identifies opportunities for new and additional work.
+ Performs administrative tasks as directed.

Position Requirements
+ BA/BS or equivalent technical training. PE registration and CPD/CIPE certification are highly desirable.
+ 10 years related experience in A/E/C professional practice.
+ Thorough understanding of all engineering design tasks associated with system selection, evaluation and design, management, planning and direction of project construction document preparation. Detailed knowledge of A/E/C professional practice including contractual relationships, liability, and public safety.
+ Ability to plan, execute and take responsibility for several large design and construction phase projects and special assignments simultaneously.
+ Detailed understanding of various regulatory building codes.
+ Extensive knowledge of current design analysis techniques, construction materials and methods, and design production techniques, including computer software and ability to use AutoCAD for drawing review and schematic level tasks.
+ Well-developed and effective communication, marketing, teaching and leadership skills.
+ Strong analytical, communication, computer, problem solving and team building skills are essential.


Electrical and Mechancial CAD Technicians - Washington, DC region.
